Kobe Bryant, to try Golf when he retires?

I know, I know, he%26#039;s a basketball player, albeit a very mediocre one at that. But I think (note the speculation) that once he hangs up those basketball shoes, he%26#039;ll try the sport of golf. Reason being that Kobe, being the greatest ball hog in NBA history, has proven that the least thing he likes is sharing the ball. Now if he tried out golf, there would be no one to share the ball with (he can dominate all those balls with ruthless abandon). Now wouldn%26#039;t that be great for a ball hogger like Kobe Bryant? And I think he%26#039;s gonna excel in that %26quot;ME%26quot; sport, even dominate better and much longer that Tiger Woods, who in my opinion is kinda overrated anyway.

Kobe for PGA Player of the Century!

Kobe Bryant, to try Golf when he retires?
God I would love that!

I hate Tiger Woods and his attitude, he isn%26#039;t a nice guy. He hates kids and people altogether.

Yes, Let Kobe be a golfer. MVP golf player of the year. Well lets make that every Year ^^

Golf Travel Advice for a Shoe-String Budgeter?

If you%26#039;re on a shoe-string budget, golf vacations may not be the best choice, but there are a few exceptions. There are tons of golf discounts available online. My suggestion is to look in the back of Golf Digest or Golf magazine and look at ads for golf packages. Most of these ads have web sites that you can go to for more details.

Golf Travel Advice for a Shoe-String Budgeter?
In our group, I%26#039;m always the guy who is asked to plan our golf trips, because I%26#039;ve been lucky enough to find some great deals. Here are a few ideas:

1) Myrtle Beach: If you live on the East Coast, you should be able to find cheap airfare especially from a large city. Accommodations: Try Myrtlewood Villas (new to nearly new 1,2, or 3 bedroom condos for $59-159/night depending on the time of year. Golf: Go to mbn.com or to Legends Resorts and use their tee time booking services, and mbga.com for honest ratings of all of the courses. Your best deals are from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and from Dec 1 to Feb 28, with the highest prices in March, April, September, and October. If you do some searching, you could stay 4 nights and play 4 mid to upper tier courses for $400 or less in the summer, and for as little as $250 in the winter.

2) Niagara Falls, Ontario / Buffalo, NY: There has been some new casinos added to the Niagara Falls area, and several new golf courses have been built within 15-20 minutes of the Falls. There are a few run by the Niagara Parks Commission that are awesome (Whirlpool Golf Club, Legends of Niagara (Battlefield and Usshers Creek courses), and several very nice public or semi-private courses in and around Buffalo. Last I checked, the Niagara Parks Commission offered early AM specials ($59-69 before 8 am versus $100+ from 8am-2pm), and there are several decent motels / hotels to stay for a reasonable price near the Falls. You could fly into Buffalo (30 minutes away) or Toronto (1 to 1 1/4 hours away), whichever is cheaper.

What color shoes can you wear with yellow polo shirt or green polo shirt besides white?

if i wear a yellow polo shirt or green polo shirt with golf style pants, what color shoes should i wear. and i dont mean like dress shoes, i mean casual shoes sort of like the skechers square toe variety

What color shoes can you wear with yellow polo shirt or green polo shirt besides white?
Black
Reply:I think green shoes would look good with both colors.
Reply:Any pair of leisure shoes in the family of brown, tan, beige, camel tan. It would help if your slacks were in a similar, lighter shade of beige or khaki (monochromatic look for pants and shoes) your lively polo shirt color becomes a tasteful addition of brightness. Please wear a belt to match the color of your shoes to complete the outfit.

Smashing! You%26#039;ll look g8!
Reply:Tan or khaki would look best in my opinion.
Reply:Black or brown works too.
Reply:Either tan or brown goes well with both yellow or green.

But more importantly you have to match the color of your pants as well. It is the whole package that counts.
Reply:If you don%26#039;t like white, then settle for brown. It is defined as casual by its color and, generally, its style. Jokes about boring aside, it%26#039;s practical.

I invented a new way to play Golf. what should i call it?

it%26#039;s played the same way you do with original Golf, only you kick it around instead of using Golf clubs. you would wear shoes with a steel tip plate at the tip of the shoes as well. do you think Tiger Woods would like this new trend?

What kind of shoes did pro atheletes use BEFORE the advent of modern athletic footwear, such as sneakers?

Like, before cleats and sneakers, did they just wear regular shoes? What about golf cleats, or Chuck Taylors in basketball? Just curious.

What kind of shoes did pro atheletes use BEFORE the advent of modern athletic footwear, such as sneakers?
If by modern athletic footware you mean the sneakers since the 1970s, the answer is:

Converse had a virtual monopoly on the athletic market till the 1970s. High school, college, and professional teams would use Converse Chuck Taylors to work out in.

US football and baseball players would use spiked shoes (this was before indoor turf) for play, though.

Of course basketball players would use Chucks in Black or White.

As for tennis (all levels), many players would use Keds or Converse%26#039;s Jack Purcell sneakers.

Other professional sports (e.g. racing, boating, etc.) would use a mixture of the above sneakers and a casual non-sneakers leather shoe.

Women's Golf for Beginners?

Hi, I need to know why my feet hurt when I play golf with tennis shoes...and why does my hand hurt like its going to blister? And no, I don%26#039;t have gloves.

Women%26#039;s Golf for Beginners?
Because if you are walking on a golf course, you are walking 4-5 miles at a %26quot;whack%26quot;. Your shoes need to fit correctly or you are going to get blisters. It%26#039;s totally different from just walking about in your %26quot;day to day%26quot; life. As you get more used to the walking, especially up and down hills, your feet should become more accustomed to the %26quot;wear and tear%26quot;. As to hurting hands, you may be gripping too tightly on your club or have a %26quot;grip%26quot; flaw where you are letting loose of the club a bit as you swing. Especially as a beginner, you are hitting or swing the club more times than the average. You can be wearing your skin a little where you grip the club. This too should change over time but a glove (on either hand or both) can help.
Reply:if your feet hurt after walking around on a golf course, that could mean that you need new shoes. if you%26#039;re right-handed, and your left hand is becoming callous and blistered then you should get a golf glove for your left hand (and vice-versa if you are left-handed). hope i can help!

How has golf changed over time?

I am doing a school assignment and I am finding it a little difficult to find information on how golf has been changed by technological advances over time. I am basically asking, what has changed in golf over time, e.g. golf buggies, clubs, shoes, courses etc.

How has golf changed over time?
A whole lot has changed yet at the same time very little. The basics of the game have remained intact hit the ball into the hole. Really though lets go back to about 1950 the real difference was the greens they didn%26#039;t build them like they do now they weren%26#039;t as smooth or as fast. Mowers irrigation and multilayer technology can make greens more like apool table today vs the slow carpet of the past. Otherwise Nothing has changed golfers make more money it;s more popular but it %26#039;s about the same. More minorities play the game really because of tiger woods promotion of golf that%26#039;s something to look up if i were you. A ton can be said about equipment but in reality its dead even the golf ball doesn%26#039;t spin much any more it goes very far and very straight. The ball of the past spun quite a bit and could be maneuvered by the player.

Todays golf is one dimensional hit it hard and straight vs work the ball and shape shots. The clubs have changed leaps and bounds but the truth is that it%26#039;s the Indian not the arrow so who cares the ball has more of a difference the the clubs to an extent hope this helps.
Reply:Dude you can%26#039;t find information on how golf has changed technologically? Not looking very hard are you? You do know that when they speak of woods back in the day, they were actually made of wood. Nowadays, they are made of metal. Balls are way different. Ballata balls were wound. Today%26#039;s balls are multi piece with seamless covers. The size of the clubheads are way different. The first driver I ever bought had a 198cc size clubhead. The most recent one I bought had a 460cc size clubhead. Time span between the first driver and the most recent driver was 6 years. Let%26#039;s talk about long iron replacements called hybrids. You can write your entire paper on this single topic. Dig deeper my friend. It is all there for you.
Reply:technological advances in club design, square grooves, graphite shafts, metal woods, perimeter weighting, etc... have all helped the players of today hit it further with more accuracy and stop it quicker than they ever could before.

I would guess that courses being designed today are probably longer than in years past because of the advances.

Many golf carts have gps type systems that show yardages for the course.

These are just a few.
